Dear McKenzie Lake Families,
Our Grade 1 & 2 Winter Celebration was truly snowtastic! We were thrilled to see so many family members join us for Thursday afternoon’s performance, in addition to a full house that evening. It was a huge success, with students beaming with pride and waving at their families in the audience.
Our Grade 5 patrol team also had a great week, as they began assisting MLS families at the crosswalk before and after school. While we understand mornings can be rushed, we kindly ask that everyone remain vigilant and watch for our patrollers. If their signs are out, indicating that you should stop, please ensure you stay stopped until their signs are lowered.
A big thank you to our Grade 3 team for leading the Calgary Food Bank Drive. With most of the donation boxes filled at the front of the school, we can confidently say the drive was a success and will have a positive impact on our community.
Next week, we anticipate high energy levels as we approach Winter Break. To make it even more fun, we have some exciting Spirit Days lined up:
- Tuesday, December 17: Red & Green Day
- Wednesday, December 18: Fun Socks Day
- Thursday, December 19: Festive Hat Day
- Friday, December 20: Festive Sweater Day
Looking forward to a joyful final week before the break!
Sincerely,
Dayna McComish
