Overflow Designation of K-4 Students from the Community of Seton
McKenzie Lake School, the overflow receiver school for Cranston School, has reached its capacity. As a result, McKenzie Lake School will be unable to accommodate any additional Seton students that are being overflowed from Cranston School.
Effective Sept. 19, 2025, all new kindergarten to Grade 4 registrations for students living in the community of Seton, at Cranston School who cannot be accommodated, will be designated to McKenzie Towne School.
Seton kindergarten to Grade 4 students attending the current overflow location McKenzie Lake School can choose to move to McKenzie Towne School or remain at McKenzie Lake School. However, after the 2025-26 school year they will be considered out-of-attendance area students. Transportation will not be available after June 2027.
Please read the notice for details on how this change will affect registration.
Overflow Designation for Cranston School
Effective immediately, enrolment at Cranston School will be capped, and an overflow school will be established for kindergarten to Grade 3 students residing in the Seton community for the current 2023-24 school year. All new registrations for Cranston School, including new registrations currently in SchoolEngage, from kindergarten to Grade 3 students residing in the Seton community will be overflowed to McKenzie Lake School. Please see the notice for more information.
Regular Program
What is the Regular Program?
The Regular Program spans from kindergarten through grade 12, providing a comprehensive educational experience. In alignment with provincial standards, our curriculum not only integrates academics, arts, and physical education but also emphasizes tailoring the learning adventure to individual strengths and interests. We're all about inclusivity, providing special education resources to support diverse learning needs. Beyond the classroom, students dive into a world of extracurricular activities, including sports, arts, music, and community service, making every day exciting. We believe in teamwork, actively encouraging parental involvement through events like parent-teacher conferences, creating a collaborative and supportive educational atmosphere.
Alternative Program
Learning to Fit Each Student's Needs and Interests
Alternative programs provide a distinct educational experience by focusing on specific subjects or languages and engaging students with advanced learning methods or in unique classroom environments. These programs are designed to personalize education to meet students' learning needs and goals. Additionally, some alternative programs may be more flexible regarding schedule or structure, giving students greater control over their learning. Parental involvement is highly encouraged through activities such as parent-teacher conferences and school events.
Registration for Non-Canadian Students
Welcome to Our Diverse and Inclusive Academic Community!
We are thrilled to extend a warm welcome to non-Canadian students who are eager to embark on an enriching educational journey with us. Our schools are welcoming, caring, respectful and safe environments where students will learn, make new friends, and discover their talents and interests. Students who are not Canadian citizens must register through CBE Welcome Centre, even if they have attended school elsewhere in Canada.
