Dear McKenzie Lake Families,

Our Grade 2 students recently enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the Sam Centre. During the visit, students explored historical artifacts, engaged in storytelling, and participated in creative activities that helped them learn how heritage connects us to our families, our city, and one another. The Sam Centre is open to the public, if your family is interested in learning more about the Calgary Stampede and its history in our city.

Thank you to our parent volunteers—these enriching opportunities would not be possible without your support. We would also like to extend our thanks to our School Council for generously funding the bus transportation.

As a reminder, when parking on McKenzie Lake Way, please ensure your vehicle is at least 5 metres away from the crosswalk. Parking too close reduces visibility and compromises the safety of our student patrollers, and may result in a ticket from Calgary Police Service.

Finally, please note that this Friday is a PD Day, and there will be no school for students.
