This week, our first group of Grade 3 classes visited the YMCA to participate in the AMP Community Champions Program. This program is designed to engage, inspire, and empower students through a fully integrated, mixed-ability para-hockey experience. During the field trip, students and volunteers had the opportunity to play sledge hockey and meet athletes, making it a memorable and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
The remaining Grade 3 classes will participate in this program over the next couple of weeks. We would like to sincerely thank our volunteers for helping make this opportunity possible for our students.
As Valentine’s Day is approaching, many students choose to bring Valentines to share with their classmates. Since there is no school on February 12 and 13 due to Teachers’ Convention, students are invited to bring Valentines on Wednesday, February 11.
Please remember that McKenzie Lake School is an allergy-aware school. As a result, food items are not permitted to be distributed to classmates.
