Dear McKenzie Lake Families,

On Thursday, our Grade 2 students embarked on a walking field trip to The Honey Merchants, building upon their classroom studies in science. During this visit, students explored the significance of bees, the process of honey production, and had the opportunity to taste honey sourced from local beekeeper Katie's hives.

Next week promises to be packed with exciting events! Students are encouraged to dress in beach attire for Beach Day on Tuesday. Wednesday will feature our Kindergarten Celebration, where our youngest learners will proudly welcome family and friends into the school. On Thursday, all students will take part in Sports Day. In the morning, AM kindergarten students will enjoy stations led by older students, followed by school-wide sports activities in the afternoon. Parents of Grades 1-5 students who wish to volunteer for station duties (and have completed security clearance) are invited to email their child's teacher. Stations begin around 12:45pm, and the day concludes with a refreshing treat provided by our School Council back in the classrooms.

CBE Bus Registration – due by June 16

Registration for transportation for 2024-2025 is now open.  It is important that families register for bussing prior to June 16, in order to ensure they are confirmed for transportation for the beginning of the year.  If you miss the registration deadline, it is most likely there will be delays (of up to 6 weeks) for transportation being available for your child(ren).
