Dear McKenzie Lake Families,

This week, our Kindergarten students shone brightly as they celebrated a year of learning at the Kindergarten Celebration. The Class of 2036 showed remarkable confidence and joy as they saw familiar faces among the audience.

On Thursday, we were blessed with sunny skies for our Sports Day, filling the fields with stations where students enjoyed roaming with friends and participating in activities that sparked their interest. A heartfelt thank you to all the staff and parent volunteers whose efforts ensured this year's Sports Day was a resounding success.

As we approach the final week of the school year, we bid farewell to some staff members embarking on new adventures. Although our staffing for the 2024-2025 school year is still in progress, we will be saying goodbye to Mrs. McQuillen, Miss Skunta, Ms. Areny, and Mrs. O’Neill, who have accepted positions at new schools. We deeply appreciate their contributions to MLS, and they will be greatly missed. Additionally, we acknowledge and thank Ms. Lynas, Ms. Zimmer, Mrs. Sorensen, and Mrs. Rankin, who were on temporary contracts this year. While they are leaving for now, we hope to welcome them back to McKenzie Lake in the near future. Furthermore, Mrs. Adnan, our Lunch Supervisor, has accepted a Lead Lunch Supervisor role at Janet Johnstone School for the upcoming year.
