Dear McKenzie Lake Families,
Friday, we had the privilege of hosting our Volunteer Appreciation event, extending our gratitude to those who have generously volunteered throughout the school year. Our Grade 1 & 2 choir delighted attendees with their songs, and Ms. Nettleton's class expressed their appreciation through a heartfelt Thank You poem. Snacks provided by our dedicated teachers added to the warmth of the occasion. Volunteers play a crucial role in making McKenzie Lake School the wonderful community it is. Their contributions enhance the opportunities and experiences available to our students in countless ways. We cannot express enough gratitude for the invaluable gift of their time and dedication.
We recently became aware of two errors in previous communication that we would like to bring to your attention:
1. Beach Day was accidently scheduled for two different dates. Due to our Grade 2 class going on a walking field trip on June 13, Beach Day will officially be Tuesday, June 18. Students are invite to come dressed in their favorite summer/beach attire.
2. Thursday, June 27 is an early dismissal day for all students in CBE. Due to transportation schedules, please note that dismissal on this day will be the same as early dismissal Friday’s – 12:15pm.
CBE Bus Registration – due by June 16
Registration for transportation for 2024-2025 is now open. It is important that families register for bussing prior to June 16, in order to ensure they are confirmed for transportation for the beginning of the year. If you miss the registration deadline, it is most likely there will be delays (of up to 6 weeks) for transportation being available for your child(ren).
