Dear McKenzie Lake Families,
This past week, Mrs. Smith’s class spent the entire week at the Calgary Zoo as part of the Open Minds/Campus Calgary program. It was an engaging week, full of new experiences for the students— even for those who have visited the zoo many times before. Mrs. Talerico’s class will attend next week, so I won’t spoil any surprises for them, but I’ll share some examples of this exciting experience in next week’s Admin Message.
It’s hard to believe that exactly five years ago, we were transitioning to online Parent-Teacher Conferences for the first time. This March, for very different reasons, we find ourselves in the same position. Thankfully, our comfort with online platforms has grown significantly since 2020, and we anticipate that the conferences will run smoothly. If you experience any sound issues during your conference, simply enter your phone number into the chat box, and the teacher will call you.
Kindergarten families, please remember that there will be no school for students on Thursday or Friday. Grades 1-5 will attend school on Thursday.
