Dear McKenzie Lake Families,

Each year, schools across Canada come together to honour our veterans, past and present, through Remembrance Day assemblies. On Thursday, November 7, McKenzie Lake School participated in this important tradition, with our Grade 5 teachers and students taking a leadership role in preparing the event. The assembly, guided by Ms. Kvicala, was centered around the theme Finding Peace.

In addition to the students' efforts, we were privileged to hear a special message from Sailor First Class John Bauer, an MLS parent, which made the occasion even more meaningful for all of us.

We hope you and your family were able to take some time to reflect and honour those who have served and continue to serve to help make Canada one of the best countries in the world, over Fall Break.

We look forward to welcoming students back on Thursday morning!
