Dear McKenzie Lake Families,
This week our Grade 4 students hosted an assembly, sharing their learning within the Social Studies curriculum related to Alberta. It is important to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of teachers in preparing engaging and educational assemblies. It is a great way to enhance students' understanding of the curriculum. The assembly included stop-motion movies, green screen videos as students travelled Alberta, a skit where students took a road trip to visit different tourist attractions around the province and students singing a classic Gordon Lightfoot song, Alberta Bound.
Halloween Information
If your child is choosing a costume to wear to school on Tuesday, please remember that it needs to be something they are able to participate in all school activities, including physical education and music.  Facemasks are to remain at home and saved for their evening trick-or-treating, and toy weapons should not be brought to school.  Those not interested in wearing a costume, alternatively could wear orange/black or their pajamas that day instead.
As a reminder: We are an allergy aware school, students are not able to distributed editable items to their friends or classrooms.

Sincerely,
Dayna McComish
