Dear McKenzie Lake Families,

We experienced a very rainy Thursday, which meant students had to stay inside for recess and lunch. On days with heavy rain, we keep students indoors for their safety and comfort. However, on days with lighter rain, we encourage outdoor play, so it's important that students come dressed appropriately for the weather. Outdoor activity is essential for their health and well-being, so please make sure your child is prepared for wet or rainy conditions.

We’re excited to announce that our Lacrosse Residency, funded through the generous support of our School Council, begins this coming week. We are deeply appreciative of the School Council's efforts, which help provide a range of enriching experiences for our students throughout the year.

Our first School Council meeting of the year will be held on Wednesday, September 18, at 7:00 PM. All parents and guardians of MLS students are welcome to join these monthly virtual meetings.

Additionally, please keep an eye out for an upcoming email about scheduling your September Parent Conference. These conferences, set for September 26 and 27, are a valuable opportunity to meet with your child’s teacher and discuss goals you have for your child this school year.
