Dear MLS Families,
Friday was an exciting and memorable day at MLS! Principal Ms. Hudson and Assistant Principal Mr. V did a wonderful job stepping into their administrative roles for the day. They visited classrooms to ensure students were engaged in learning, led a fire drill practice, supported students with problem-solving in the office, filled and delivered a treat cart to staff, made school announcements, and answered phones in the office. They even added some fun to the day by leading whole-school dance breaks to Taylor Swift songs!
It was also a big day for Mr. P and Ms. M, our PE and Music Teachers of the Day. They experienced a fire drill from a teacher’s perspective and took on the important responsibility of ensuring the safety of the students in their care. All of our Readathon winners did an amazing job fulfilling their special roles and responsibilities as MLS teachers and administrators.
Our PM Kindergarten class also enjoyed a wonderful field trip to Granary Road on Friday. This coming week, our AM Kindergarten students are eagerly anticipating their turn, and our Grade 1 students are looking forward to presenting their learning to families on Tuesday afternoon.
Sincerely,
Ms. Dayna McComish
