MLS Families,

It was an exciting day at MLS! Students enjoyed a variety of Halloween-themed activities, spent time with their buddy classes, and shared their costumes and excitement with one another. We hope everyone has a wonderful time trick-or-treating on Saturday evening!

Parking and Crosswalk Safety

Many of you have noticed the human-sized pylons that have been present outside during morning drop-off and afternoon pick-up. We appreciate everyone's willingness to receive and respond to our friendly parking reminders, particularly regarding avoiding No Parking Zones and maintaining a minimum distance of 5 metres from crosswalks.

You may notice that we are moving the pylons to different locations to draw attention to additional safety reminders, including the No U-Turn signs.

We would also like to remind adults that when our student patrollers are supporting the crosswalk, please wait until they have signaled that it is safe to cross before proceeding. You will hear them use the verbal cue "PROCEED" to indicate when it is safe for pedestrians to cross.

Thank you for continuing to work with us to keep our students and school community safe. We appreciate your support in choosing safety over convenience!
